I don’t like the feeling of being a newbie, I feel out of control, out of certainty. Leaving Primetel was something that happened and it is over. My decision was based on Lion instincts. I want a better life, but I don’t know what better life looks like. I was starting to feel happy at Primetel. Once I got the skills necessary to do day to day tasks I felt that I belonged there.

It took me almost a year, let’s give Equiti a year. I’m not quitting unless I’m fired. To gain certainty I have to ask more questions and push myself to work harder and smarter. Also I believe I don’t feel certainty because of my inability to understand how everything works, I haven’t connected the dots. What I believe I lack are skills in networks subnetting in particular and VLANS. I also have to learn important network commands. like netstat.

From now on I will focus on learning networks from books and I will take the Cisco CCNA Routing and switching course from SCP Academy.
