What we are driven is the pain and the desire to gain pleasure. You don’t have to have a complicate idea to change your life, all you need is ideas that you apply. You can’t get caught up, you have to use your personal power and take action. What prevents us from taking action is the desire to gain pleasure or the need to avoid pain.
When we procrastinate is because we think that the action is more painful than not taking action. The need to avoid pain is biological. Change what we link pain and pleasure to. The need to avoid pain is greater motivator than the need to gain pleasure. What determines your behavior is which pain is more intense.
What you are doing differently when you are at your best? The one skill you must learn is to learn rapidly. At any moment in time our reality is based on what we are focused on, what is real to you the pain or the pleasure. All you need to do is change your mental focus. Use pain and pleasure instead of having pain and pleasure use you. If you don’t have enough money is because you linked more pain to having it. What will happen to my passion if I don’t follow through. Repetition is the mother of skill.
