Hi, my name is Costas Nicou, and technology has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started as curiosity—how computers work, why things break, and how to make them better—quickly became a real passion and, eventually, a career path I’ve proudly followed for years.
I began my academic journey at Cyprus College, where I completed a two-year diploma in Computer Technology. I graduated with a 4.0/4.0 GPA and received an Academic Excellence Award, an achievement I’m especially proud of because it reflects not only performance, but also consistency, discipline, and love for the field. Wanting to expand my knowledge further, I continued my studies and earned a BSc in Computing from Edinburgh Napier University, where I strengthened both my technical foundation and my problem-solving mindset.
Professionally, I’ve worked in Web Development & IT support roles where reliability, communication, and speed matter, while gaining valuable experience in real-world troubleshooting, user support, and working in demanding environments. My last employment was at Noteris Services Ltd which gave me the opportunity to grow my skillset. There I handled a wide range of support tasks, learned to work efficiently under pressure, and developed the confidence that comes from solving problems that truly affect people’s day-to-day work.
Outside of my main job roles, I’ve always enjoyed building things. Web development is a hobby of mine, and I love the creative side of turning ideas into functional, clean websites.
I’m also passionate about Linux and server administration, which led me to earn certification as a Red Hat Linux System Administrator—a milestone that deepened my appreciation for system reliabi0lity, security, and performance.

To keep learning and practicing, I also set up and maintain my own home-based web server as a personal project. I treat it like a mini real-world environment: configuring services, improving performance, troubleshooting issues, and keeping things organized and secure. Projects like this keep my skills sharp and remind me why I enjoy tech so much—the learning never stops.
Today, I continue to combine professional experience with personal curiosity. Whether it’s supporting users, building websites, or working with systems behind the scenes, my goal is always the same: make technology work smoothly, reliably, and efficiently for the people who use it.
